Fairy Garden Stump

Old tree stumps make perfect fairy gardens. If they're rotten in the middle, you can dig out some of the rotten wood and plant up with lovely pansies or lobelia. This one hasn't rotten and was nigh on impossible to dig out so we planted upwards using some garden edging that we taped together and filled with compost and planted up.
Stumps were just made for fairy doors. Choose a door that will tuck into the root structure, add a couple of windows, a rope ladder to link doors and windows. And my favourite, some little fairy gumboots by the door.
